Dirjen Cipta Karya, Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum RI , through a program REKOMPAK (Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Society and Community-Based Settlement ) managed to facilitate the development of Fixed Residential (Huntap) at 16 points in Special Region of Yogyakarta in Indonesia and 10 points in Central Java after the eruption of 2010. The program is considered successful as a disaster management program , not only on a national scale , but also internationally . REKOMPAK want to capture this achievement  into the program report which does not just stop at the bookshelf and difficult to access by public. But can also be enjoyed, documented in a report that allows continuously  told from generation to generation .

Living in a country surrounded by active volcanoes , making the Indonesian people prone to natural disasters . We can expect to not be affected by the accident , but the threat is real in front of us . Considering this, it does not mean people have to live in fear . They can live more sustainably and in harmony with nature . It is not impossible if the people themselves are aware and ready to read nature and the risk incurred . Stories and experiences of disasters are not supposed to be kept as a wound but should be shared as lessons learned to future generations so that we become better prepared to deal with it and react more wisely .

Kapok Lombok Creative Team help to creating a report form which is more easy to access by public, easy to read, and as a tool to explore the personal stories when the disaster took place. It is, simply, in order to experience success in handling the disaster and are not lost along with the loss of the old villages (now: people living in Huntap, the new post-disaster shelter 2010). Mini Museum Gunung Omah made in the form of Pop UP reports so that the book is not boring. Moreover, as the book reports, Mini Museum Gunung Omah is intended as a book that is read / tell with family. Old people are illiterate could tell the history of catastrophe, disaster management, until the successful emerge from the downturn with a guide book. The hope, appears a new myth, neither the story told repeatedly about the way of new communities living along the slopes of Merapi volcano, coexist with a harmonious disaster. Therefore Mini Museum Gunung Omah choose appropriate visualization and illustration of martial arts stories, or stories of yesteryear. This is in order to strengthen the idea of the formation of a new myth as mentioned above. (word by : Kusen Alipah Hadi
